Sept. 10th, Brian Henke in concert 7 PM $10
Brian's unique guitar styling has been called everything from
Folk to New Age to Neo-Classical to Pastoral or as Brian likes to
call it "a big stew pot of everything , stirred up and served
to taste". His music appeals to anyone who likes their music
lyrical, thought provoking and performed with virtuosity. Through
it all is an under-current of spirituality and mysticism that Brian
says is very much a part of the creative process.
Sept. 25, Hymn for Her in concert 8 PM $10 advance, $15 at the
door
This duo answers the question: What happens if you take a couple
of musicians, their child and a 90 lb. dog, throw then into an Airstream
trailer with an assortment of instruments, including cigar-box guitar,
banjo, dobro and kick drum and put them on the road. That answer
is a qypsy-marriage of Jack White skewed po, stomping folk and bits
of Led Zeppelin III. Lucy Tight Wayne Waxing have concocted a sound
that borrows as much from the Beatles as it does from R.L. Burnside,
but is as uniquely American as that trailor. Come in for a spin!
